I just wanted to give a quick little follow up post. There have been some excellent comments on the last post and a few things that I want to address:
- One thing that was mentioned is that if you send out these mailouts too frequently, you will lose subscribers. This is true, but I found that if the posts that you are sending to them are of excellent quality and has good information, people will eat that right up. So only send out messages when you have an exceptional post that you feel needs a little kickstart.
- During this experiment, I lost 6 subscribers who unsubscribed from my list over the past few days. I actually see this as a good thing because it shows me that they really weren’t interested anyway. Why send to people that aren’t interested? Remember, quality over quantity. You want quality people in your list….meaning people that are interested in what you have to say in your blog.
- There is an option in Aweber that will send out RSS feed messages to your list from your blog. I’ve never tried this because I prefer to manually send out the broadcast - I like having more control on when I send out the message. This is something you can look into if you are comfortable with it, but I would advise doing it manually because you probably shouldn’t send out a message for every post.
Stay tuned. I will show you how we managed to build this list of 197 brides to be in less than one day and it only took about 10 minutes to set up. Coming in a later post.

So, my girlfriend has this wedding related blog that was making a little over $1 everyday for the past few months. The other day, I decided to try out a little experiment with this site. She also had a list that she had built up in Aweber of engaged ladies (she had originally built this list for her bridal shop). So, I thought, let’s put both of these together and see what happens. I created a quick little post and sent off a broadcast message to her list of 197 people. Well, out of those 197 people, only 55 people actually clicked on the blog link but look what it did to the Adsense earnings over the past couple days! Almost quadruple! Sooo…. List + Monetized Blog == $$

I would say that doing a new blog post and an accompanying mailout every few days should keep the money rolling in and it only takes a couple minutes more to send out the broadcast message.
Check out my previous post for more information on this method.
I’d love to hear from anyone else who tries this — just add a comment!

You see the following statement said in forums, on websites, on blogs, in ebooks, etc:
“The Money Is In The List”
While this is definitely a true statement, I believe that it is a bit incomplete. The money is certainly in the list and maintaining a good responsive list will definitely bring in the cash but what this statement is lacking is the word RESPONSIVE.
What do I mean by responsive? Well, a good list is always ready to react to your suggestions, influences and marketing efforts because you have DEVELOPED A RELATIONSHIP with them.
How do you make your list responsive? This ebook goes into just that but it also takes it a step further by explaining how to still bring an income while nurturing your list.
One thing that everyone has to remember is that there’s more to lists than just building a list. You have to remember that every email on your list is a real live person with emotions, beliefs and opinions. If you take the time to get to know
your list, you will benefit greatly because you will come to know exactly what they are interested in and you can tailor your marketing to what you learn about them.
This ebook will take a kind of step-by-step approach to this method. Each piece of this marketing puzzle will be explained in detail but there will also be optional pieces that you can use as well to maximize your earnings. The beauty of this is that you can start will the basic setup for this method and then easily add on more features in the future as you have time.
Any level of internet marketer can use this method. There is nothing overly challenging about this method. Actually, if you choose a niche that you are interested in, it won’t even feel like work! Fun! And that’s what it’s all about, right?

I am serious.
I think that my blog can beat up both of your blogs. Yeah, I said it! I’d like to challenge both Shoemoney and John Chow in an RSS Subscriber Contest. I think I could get more subscribers in one month than both of them combined! Care to take me up on this contest, guys? Care to make a wager?
Yup, me and my measley little blog here at moneymasher.com can beat both of you. Combined.
This is my feedcount right now:

Here is Shoemoney’s:

And finally, John’s:

Look at that, I even gave you two a 27,240 head start!
Again, I am serious.
<sarcasm> Yeah, right. </sarcasm>
I would never stand a chance between these two mammoth bloggers, however it may stir up a bit of controversy. Guess what….controversy gets link and controversy gets traffic. Usually in huge amounts. Just take a look at all the people that blogged about the competition they had:
You get the point. Figure out a way to shake things up a bit and create a little controversy to get people talking and especially blogging about you.
As for me going against Shoemoney and John in our own contest. I wouldn’t even try.
